Deserts and Westerns Ride

If you´d like a different type of trail ride, and want to feel like Indiana Jones or Clint Eastwood riding through some impressive desert landscapes, unique in Europe, this is your trip.

Practical data

7-day trip: 4 days on horseback / 2 nights camping; end day at the beach. For a minimum group of 4 riders, maximum of 8 riders. In private group or possibility to join a shared group. All our itineraries are adaptable and can be customized to meet the traveller´s requirements.

Accommodation in charming rural houses and in tents during the horseback ride. Options for non-riding companions. Option to add days to visit Granada.

Note: Riding level required: medium, with experience in trail riding and full days (4-5 hr/day) on horseback. It is necessary to be able to mount and dismount the horse easily, as sometimes the terrain is rough and it is better to carry the horse by hand. This trip requires an overall good fitness level and an understanding of the uncertainties that may arise when traversing through the outdoors.

One of the highlights of the route is to show the travelers some of the locations of popular movies such as Indiana Jones, Dr. Zhivago, and the best of Leone, such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, For a Fistful of Dollars and many other classics of the authentic spaghetti westerns that were filmed in the northern deserts of Granada and Almeria.

The planned route is 4 days on horseback, camping in our camps set up with great care to make the most out of the experience. Then, after visiting the filming areas, to top it off, we finish the trip on the beautiful beaches of Cabo de Gata, where the desert meets the sea, providing a unique setting to rest after such an exciting adventure. Above it all, and most importantly, it is a fun trip.
